What’s included in your stay?
You will have access to a 75 m² apartment with additional services year-round (2+1 bedrooms, kitchen, shower/WC). The price includes final cleaning, made beds, WiFi, Netflix, coffee/tea and porridge ingredients.
The apartment is located on the top floor of our house. You have free parking, a private entrance and your own keys.
You’ll also find books, games, drawing supplies, yoga mats (2), walking poles (2) and outdoor equipment available free of charge in the entrance area.
We live in the same house and are available if needed.

Good to know
If you cancel
Bookings can be cancelled free of charge until 6 pm on the day before arrival. Later cancellations may be charged in full.
If we cancel
In rare cases (e.g. water damage), you are entitled to a full refund.
Damages
Guests are responsible for intentional damage. Accidents happen — please let us know if something breaks.
Interrupting
Smoking inside or intentional damage may result in additional charges (e.g. ozone treatment).
Arrival
Check-in from 5 pm. Earlier arrival possible by agreement (20 € / hour). We recommend arrival before 10 pm, but it is not mandatory.
Departure
Check-out by 12 pm. Extra hours by agreement (20 € / hour). Some offers include late check-out free of charge.
Keys
You will receive instructions via SMS/WhatsApp during the arrival week. Keys can be left in the apartment upon departure.
Cleaning
Final cleaning (except dishes) is included. Additional cleaning available (100 €). You can leave trash in the apartment.
Good to know
We do not rent rooms separately—your group has full private use of the apartment. You have your own entrance, keys and free parking.
Amenities
Coffee, tea, spices, porridge ingredients and toiletries are included. Everything in the apartment is included in the price (except paid items in the brown kitchen cabinet). Our goal is to offer more than a standard hotel experience.
Location
Village centre under 1 km, train station within walking distance and Art center Salmela approx. 3 km from the apartment. Nearest grocery store 30 meter and larger supermarkets approx. 1 km. From us you have an easy access to hiking routes and nature.
Grandmother's garden
You can relax in the yard with seating areas, fruit trees and berry bushes. There is also: small treehouse (at your own risk), frisbee golf basket, campfire area, garden swing, and dart board. Smoking is allowed in the yard.
Heating
Heating can be adjusted in each room. Default temperature is 21°C. We recommend keeping doors closed in winter to maintain warmth. Windows can be opened. The house has natural ventilation.
Ventilation
All window openings have operable windows. In addition, there are ventilation vents at both ends of the house, which are closed during winter. The grille above the stove is an adjustable ventilation outlet.The house has traditional natural (gravity-based) ventilation.
Pets
Pets are welcome. Our own pets (cats Luna & Luca, dog Lala) may be in the yard.
Bicycles
Bicycles are available for an additional fee (3–5 bikes depending on availability). Electric fatbike also available. Helmets and accessories are free to use.
Laundry
Laundry service 5 € / machine. Returned clean and dry.
Electric cars
Nearest charging stations available nearby (S-market & K-Supermarket).
All extra's
Available for an additional fee: Breakfast and evening snacks, guided experiences as well as outdoor equipment rental. We also have massage services in the house.

Business ID: 3222121-1 We sell service-based products such as accommodation and offer additional services for rent, including electric mountain bikes and snowshoes, to private customers and companies in Finland and abroad. We reserve the right to change terms and prices. All service prices include VAT.

Ordering
Products can be selected on the website and added to the shopping cart.
Orders can also be made by phone, in which case the order confirmation/invoice will be sent by email. Orders can also be made on-site.
On-site purchases (e.g. additional nights) can be paid by bank transfer if needed.
In the online store, orders are confirmed by completing payment at checkout. You can also request a PDF invoice.
By placing an order, you accept these terms and conditions, product prices and any delivery costs.
An order confirmation will be sent to the email address provided. The confirmation includes the ordered services and total price.
Cancellation policy (accommodation)
Bookings can be cancelled free of charge until 6 pm on the day before arrival, unless otherwise agreed.
For later cancellations, we reserve the right to charge the full amount.
Cancellations must be made in a way that allows the customer to show confirmation that we have received and acknowledged the cancellation.

We offer a hotel-level yet homely stay in a historic merchant house, close to services and the train station.
We know the local area, routes and services well.
Unelma is run by Piia Mäkilä: certified local guide, canoeing and snowshoeing instructor, and partner entrepreneur of Repovesi National Park.

Clear signs are available in the yard.
Train station nearby, town centre approx. 850 m, grocery store 30 m, canoeing centre & Kisala approx. 1 km and beautiful forest trails and lake views nearby.
